MI BATTE IL CORAZON

by Francesco Prisco

synopsis

Peppe Iovine, a journalist for a small local broadcaster, leads a quiet, mediocre life until he suffers a heart attack and dies. Game over. Or so it seems. Because the next day, in the middle of his own funeral, Peppe wakes up in the coffin. That’s when his personal hell begins: for the State he’s dead, for his wife he’s a mystery, and for the neighborhood he’s “the guy who saw Maradona”. Convinced he really met him in the afterlife, Peppe decides to change his life: to always tell the truth, with no fear of anything or anyone. But the truth can be a dangerous weapon. And amid absurd red tape, explosive confessions and moments of disarming tenderness, Peppe discovers that second chances may not be there to start over… but to truly understand himself.
