CENA DI CLASSE

by Francesco Mandelli

synopsis

Cena di Classe tells the story of a group of former high-school classmates reuniting seventeen years after graduation. Their get-together takes place at the funeral of an old friend, an event that reopens wounds, memories and a nostalgia that had never fully faded. Fuelled by alcohol and the discovery of an old video from their school days, the evening takes a wholly unexpected turn. Driven by the desire to relive the magic and recklessness of adolescence, the former classmates decide to sneak into their old school. What begins as a melancholy, rollicking reunion quickly turns into an extraordinary adventure that spirals completely out of control, with unforeseeable consequences and decidedly criminal ramifications. Between laughter, remorse and unfinished business, the film plays with generational nostalgia to wryly explore the gap between who they dreamed of becoming and who they really turned out to be…
