MY COLUCHE
by Michel Denisot, Julie Lazare, Camille Bruere
synopsis
It’s the story of two guys, a comedian and a journalist who become friends and raise hell together. It’s the story of two guys who tell the story of their times. It’s the story of a man, Coluche, seen through the eyes of his friend, Michel Denisot. It’s Denisot’s Coluche. For more than twenty years, Coluche left his mark on the French television and comedy landscape. He made us laugh, cry, and jump out of our seats; he made us more engaged, perhaps even more liberated. Backed by extensive archival research and by the voices of those who knew him as well as those he inspires today, the film explores what Coluche left to France: a free voice, a commitment that still resonates, and a unique way of putting humour at the service of social causes.
