SNAKE
synopsis
Paolo Marra has killed his wife, for no apparent reason. Consumed by guilt, he decides to turn himself in: he wants to pay, serve his sentence, and restore dignity to the woman he killed and to himself. Amid distracted police officers, zealous lawyers, fortune-tellers and convoluted bureaucratic loopholes, no one takes him seriously. He finds himself trapped in a Kafkaesque paradox: however much he tries, he cannot manage to get himself arrested. The perfect scapegoat in a grotesque society that turns a blind eye to those who seek redemption.
