synopsis
In 754 AD, the pagan Frisian king Redbad becomes caught in the conflict between the Frisians and the increasingly powerful Franks. Forced into exile, he finds refuge among the Vikings before returning to his homeland to confront the Franks and the Christianisation of his people.
