CAMBOGIA

by Valerio Lundini

synopsis

Shootouts, explosions, and mob vengeance: we are on the set of Cambogia, a famous crime series. But when the director yells ‘cut’, something goes wrong, and actor Valerio De Nicolais suddenly finds himself trapped in the series’ violent and dangerous world, where those prop guns are deadly. Back in the real world, Tramezzino, the gangly henchman that De Nicolais was playing in the series, has taken his place. Incredibly enough, each now lives the life of the other: one, with all the perks of fame – parties, privilege, and the like – the other, forced to survive in a world of crime that seems to have already decided his fate. Yet if the story is already written, maybe there’s still some way to change it. And to stay alive, they’ll have to find the courage to do it.
