THE DOCTOR'S DEATH
synopsis
Basel may be experiencing the summer of the century, but it's not exactly holiday time for police inspector Hunkeler. Instead of quality time with his partner Hedwig in the Alsace, he has to work on a very nebulous case: Hunkeler's GP, who is also a well-known liberal politician, is found murdered in her practice. So far, a couple of drug addicts, who she treated with methadone, are under suspicion. But Hunkeler's innate instinct for the depths of human psyche leads him onto a rather different trail.
