THE ROBBER HOTZENPLOTZ
by Gernot Roll
synopsis
Once upon a time Kasperl lived with his grandmother and his friend, Seppel in a small town in southern Germany. Life would be wonderful if that mean robber Hotzenplotz hadn’t stolen grandmother’s new coffee mill. To get revenge Kasperl and Seppel take the matter in hand. A trick enables them to track down the peregrinating villain to his hideout. But Hotzenplotz overpowers them and sells Kasperl to the magician Petrosilius Zwackelmann. In Zwackelmann’s castle, Kasperl meets the lovely fairy Amaryllis, with whom he succeeds in outwitting Zwackelmann and capturing Hotzenplotz. But the thief manages to escape, and this soon brings certified clairvoyant Portiunkula Schlotterbeck and her secret admirer Dimpfelmoser on the scene...
