synopsis

The crew of a Scottish trawler try to save their boat from bankruptcy by smuggling illegal Chinese immigrants to Britain. Without a decent catch, though, they are sure to be searched when entering port. Days go by without the net being filled, with the Chinese locked in the hold below. When the Skipper finally learns of his illegal cargo, he takes drastic measures to avert the certain loss of his beloved ship.
