Ilene, a broke amateur actor through a series of misunderstandings, ends up working on the story team of a soap opera. At the cast and crew party, Ilene gets to know and falls for the star of the show, Kevin, who plays a fire fighter named Andy. But Kevin isn´t single, so nothing happens between them. On the basis of their meeting, Ilene begins writing scenes for Andy and uses the script as a tool for seduction.
