EL PRÓXIMO ORIENTE

by Fernando Colomo

synopsis

Overweight and shy, Caín is not at all attractive to the opposite sex. He works as a butcher in a lively area of Madrid home to Moroccan, Bangaldeshi, Chinese, Senegalese, Bulgarian and Peruvian immigrants. But he still feels lonely. His only family is his brother Abel who is everything Caín wants to be: handsome, charming, married to a wonderful woman and father to adorable twins. The action begins when Caín discovers that Aisha, their very pretty neighbour, daughter of Muslim Bangladeshi immigrants, is to give birth to Abel’s child. Caín takes everyone by surprise when he passes himself off as the child’s father and takes responsibility for its upbringing.
