FRIENDSHIP

by Rupert Henning

synopsis

Funeral preparations following the passing of Uncle Pepi, a dyed-in-the wool socialist, lead to the clash between an ideology-free son and his intensely “red” father in this political satire. When Uncle Pepi’s flat is searched for his old party badge in order to pin it to the dearly departed’s lapel two generations come to blows. And so begins a fight between ideologies and illusions which reveals both generations far more at odds with themselves than with each other.
