synopsis
December 22, 1957: during a dreadful snowstorm, an isolated mansion in a small Iowa town, upset by a terribile crime. Fifty-five years later, in that same house which has remained shut for half a century, a woman of Italian descent decides to open up a restaurant. She has just left the Psychiatric clinic where she has spent the last fifteen years of her life following her husband’s suicide. She wants to start her life over, but just as soon as she sets foot in the house, the ghosts of the past come back to haunt her. From the novel by Pupi Avati, with the same name.
