UN NOVIO PARA YASMINA

by Irene Cardona Bacas

synopsis

Yasmina is a young, cultured and attractive Moroccan woman who has come to Spain to continue her university studies. She lives in an Extremaduran village with her brother Abdel and other Moroccan people who work in agriculture. Yasmina doesn’t quite fit in with either the Moroccans or the Spanish, and the only place where she seems to feel at ease is at an association for immigrants. Yasmina has a passionate and unusual affair with Javi, a young local police officer. The relationship goes well until the question of marriage arises. Javi starts to lose trust in Yasmina and, feeling used, refuses to marry her.
