Tortured by the instability of his job, Carlo easily falls in the trap of a shifty financial backer, who offers him unexpected help, forcing on Carlo's ingenuousness. His life is taking a turn for the better: Carlo can finally afford whims, and the proposal for an investment raise his expectations for a peaceful future.
