BABY BLUES
by Diane Bertrand
synopsis
Fabrizio is an acoustician and Alex is head of the marketing department of a major underwear brand. They are a happy couple in their forties without children. They have an old dog named Esperanza. Rapidly progressing in her career, Alex is offered a job in New York, with a view to becoming president of the French subsidiary when she returns. Feeling a growing desire for a child, she finds herself faced with a dilemma: motherhood seems to her incompatible with the brilliant future she has been promised. If she accepts this promotion, she may as well forget her desire for a child. She tries to open her heart to Fabrizio about it, but he turns a deaf ear.
