Tommy (10) lives with his mum, Betty, on a beekeeping farm in the middle of the countryside, far from Montreal. Tommy has never met his father and Betty – who seems to have withdrawn there in order to run away from something – searches in vain for a partner on dating websites. Tommy is saddened to see her so unhappy. He’d really like to see a smile light up her face, but how can he make this happen?
