RUN, FAT BOY, RUN

by David Schwimmer

synopsis

Five years after abandoning Libby, his pregnant fiancée, in the middle of their marriage ceremony, Dennis realises that he’s still in love with her and he’s made the biggest mistake of his life. Thanks to Jake, their little boy, he continues to see her on a regular basis. When he meets Libby’s new fiancé, Whit, a handsome and rich City golden boy, Dennis realises that, with his paunch and modest night watchman’s salary, his plan to win her back doesn’t look like it’s going to be a success. Upstaged by the successful Whit and no longer knowing what to do to compete with him, Dennis announces on the spur of the moment that he’s going to run the London marathon. In order to keep going for 42km and try once more to charm the woman he loves, Dennis starts a long and painful training process.
