THE MOON AND OTHER LOVERS

synopsis

Hanna is a small woman with a strong will to live, who is dreaming of a better future and of a lifechanging relationship. When the cosmetics factory where she works goes bankrupt and is about to be blown up, all she manages to save at the last moment are a few boxes of perfume bottles. But for Hanna life goes on. She takes a job at a gas station where she has to fend off the continuous advances of her boss Knuti. After several acquaintances and failed vacation dalliances, there is finally hope for Hanna: Whilst trying to sell the perfume bottles at the local market of her small town, she meets the charming Gansar. He has a wistful gaze, strong hands and a suave voice: he is the Pakistani anorak-seller at the weekly market and the great love of her life. With Gansar her home becomes an everlasting paradise. However, Hanna is in for a shock as she discovers that despite his promises he is married with two kids...
