Michel Franco

Michel Franco began his career as a director of short films. His first feature,Daniel y Ana (2009), was selected for the Directors’ Fortnight at the Cannes Festival. With his second film, Después de Lucía (2012), he landed an award in Un Certain Regard at Cannes, in addition to accolades and mentions at the Chicago, San Sebastian, London and Havana festivals. He co-directed his third film, A los ojos (2013), with his sister, Victoria Franco. Chronic won the Best Screenplay Award at the 2015 Cannes Festival.
