Andrei Ujică

Was born in Timisoara, Romania and studied literature in Timisoara, Bucharest and Heidelberg. He co-directed Videograms of a Revolution (1992) with Harun Farocki, and directed the documentary Out of the Present (1995). Ujica is professor of film at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design in Germany and founded the ZKM FilmInstitute, where he also serves as director.
