Raphael Rebibo
French-Israeli director, screen-writer and producer. A graduate of the Jerusalem Institute of Cinema and Photography, he lived and worked in Geneva as set-photographer, assistant cameraman, cameraman, and assistant director.
He produced the first feature-film by Igaal Niddam, Le Troisième Cri in 1973, then Louis Grospierre's Les Divorcés (Le Haut Mal) (1974). In 1975, he produced and directed his first feature-film, La Bulle (L ‘Arrestation); followed by Forced Witness in 1984 and A Place By The Sea in 1988.
With his company, Régo Films, and in conjunction with Gelfand films in Israel and Idéal Films in Switzerland, he has distributed many films, including Taviani brothers' Padre Padrone and Emir Kusturica's When Father Was Away on Business.
In 1997, he created a film production company, Magora Productions, with Martine Fitoussi.
