Jaime Rosales

Barcelona 1970. In 1996 he won a scholarship to study at the Escuela Internacional de Cine de San Antonio de los Baños (Cuba), followed by another for the Australian Film Television and Radio School in Sydney.

In 2003, he directed his first feature, Las horas del día, which was selected for the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes and landed the international critics’ Fipresci Award.

Solitary Fragments, his second film, was selected for Un Certain Regard at Cannes and landed three Goyas, including Best Film and Best Director. (Source: San Sebastian film festival)
