Julian Pölsler

Julian Roman Pölsler was born in Styria, Austria in 1954. He received his training in the department of film and television at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and in the Max Reinhardt Seminar at the Institute for Cultural Management, subsequently working as an assistant director. A director of films and television productions since 1982, he has also lectured in the media department of Vienna’s University of Technology and in the drama department of the Vienna Conservatory since 2003. He also began directing opera in 2006. His film, DIE WAND (THE WALLS) won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury, in the Panorama category at the Berlin International Film Festival of 2012.
