Shirel Amitay

After studying cinema at the NFTS in the UK, Shirel started producing commercials, and escaped from what she calls a “downward spiral” by returning to cinema. She started working with Jacques Rivette, Claire Simon, Pascal Bonitzer, Sophie Fillières, Arnaud Desplechin… alternating between continuity, first assistant and co-writer. Atlit is her first feature as a director.
