Francesca Comencini

Born in Rome on 19.8.1961, she is the daughter of the director, Luigi Comencini.

She studied philosophy before making her feature film debut, Pinaoforte, in 1984; in subsequent years she also began working in France. She co-wrote her father’s 1988 film, Un ragazzo di Calabria.

She was co-director of the documentary, Un altro mondo è possibile, in 2001.
