Saverio Costanzo

Born in Rome on 28.9.1975, he studied communications and sociology at the Roman University, La Sapienza, graduating in 1998 with a dissertation on Italian-Americans in Brooklyn.

He lived in New York for two years, where he made a documentary film and worked as a cinematographer. His feature film debut about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Private, received, among other accolades, the Golden Leopard at Locarno international film festival in 2004. (Berlin film festival)
