Matthias Luthardt

Born in Leiden, Netherlands, in 1972. Studied German, French and rhetoric in Tübingen, Paris and Hamburg.

1998-2005 studied directing at the Konrad Wolf Academy for Film and Television (HFF) in Potsdam-Babelsberg.

In 1999 he co-founded the film production company Risingstar. Worked in 2003 as direction and production supervisor on the feature-length film Full of Energy, produced in Uganda. His feature film Pingpong was presented in Cannes in 2006. Luthardt is now working for television. (Berlin film festival)
