GoCritic! Anifilm 2026
The next GoCritic! workshop in partnership with the Animation Festival Network will take place at the Anifilm International Festival of Animated Films in Liberec, Czech Republic, from 5-10 May 2026. Four promising international film journalists and critics will work with tutor Carmen Gray on reviews, interviews, industry stories and essays focused on the animation scene. These articles will be published on Cineuropa and Zippy Frames.

Glykeria Pappa
Glykeria Pappa is a Greek film writer and critic working across screenwriting, journalism and curation. After studying Education, she turned to cinema professionally, serving as a jury member at Giornate degli Autori during the 80th Venice International Film Festival and now previews for the section. She is the founder of the cultural platform Cinefaki and runs a film column at Poli Cool Magazine. She has also worked as a researcher for Istorima and as a writer for the acclaimed mini series Milky Way (2023). She was selected as an emerging talent by Doc Around Europe.
Idil Hazal Acar
Idil Hazal Acar is a film critic, novelist and screenwriter. Holding a BA in Philosophy from METU, she began her career in film distribution, then writing for major cinema platforms in Turkey. She is currently a film critic for Webedia and contributes to various radio & TV programs and newspapers. Her debut novel received the Turkish Ministry of Culture’s First Work Support, and her short stories have earned several literary awards. Alongside her writing, she is also active in film production. She is a frequent participant in national film festivals and an alumna of workshops in visual storytelling.
Ilo Tuule Rajand
Ilo Tuule Rajand is an Estonia-based writer and culture critic whose work focuses on film, theatre and video games. She studied Semiotics and Cultural Studies at the University of Tartu and has experience in festival programming and curatorial work. She is interested in connecting different artistic disciplines while maintaining a strong conceptual throughline. She has taken part in Talking Shorts’ European Workshop for Film Criticism (2024/2025) and the FIPRESCI Warsaw Critics Project (2025).
Réka Erőss
Réka Erőss is a PhD student in Philosophy based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and holds a master’s degree in Critical Theories. For five years, she has regularly written film criticism for Hungarian outlets, including film-related reviews, essays and translations. Réka has taken part in different workshops related to film criticism, including the Young Critics Workshop at the Verzio International Human Rights Festival in Budapest. Besides film, she is interested in everything related to cultural theory, aesthetics and arts.
