GoCritic! KVIFF 2018

The pilot edition of GoCritic! takes place at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival from Jun 29 to Jul 8, 2018. Four participants will be working with tutors Michael Pattison and Vladan Petkovic on reviews, interviews and industry stories from the biggest festival in Central and Eastern Europe.

Susanne Gottlieb

Susanne Gotlieb

Susanne Gottlieb is a Vienna-based Austrian-American journalist and film critic. Her articles and reviews have been published on uncut.at, Wiener Zeitung, Vice Austria, Film SK, Intrattenimento, Nisimazine and in the Viennese expat magazine Metropole. She is a regular guest at Austrian film festivals, Berlinale or most recently PÖFF. Her first contact with the festival circuit came as part of the Youth Jury at the Diagonale 2004, and most recently she was a member of the press team at the LET’S CEE Film Festival in Vienna. After Nisimazine at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, this will be her second experience at a film critics workshop.

Marija Jeremić

Marija Jeremić

Marija Jeremić was born in Serbia but now lives in Ljubljana, Slovenia where she studies Comparative Literature at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. She is a film journalist and critic for the websites Koridor ‒ križišča umetnosti in Filmstart.si as well as a frequenter of different workshops for film critics (Nisimazine, etc.).

David Katz

David Katz

David Katz is a London-based freelance writer, film critic and researcher. After studying English at University College London, he started working in the industry across journalism, festivals and script development. Some of his bylines can be found in places like VICE, Time Out and Film4.com. He is thrilled to be attending his first European film festival as a delegate. And he is also carefully dipping his toes in the craft of screenwriting, sound design and direction.

Nick Mastrini

Nick Mastrini

Nick Mastrini is a Prague-born and London-based film journalist and documentary filmmaker. Alongside his recently-completed studies in English Literature at University College London (UCL), he has worked at Open City Documentary Festival and Bloomsbury Festival in marketing roles, and has volunteered or held press accreditation at festivals such as Sheffield Doc/Fest and Sundance London. Nick has published writing and produced documentary films through UCL channels including the university's Film Society and arts magazine Savage Journal. He continues to publish work on his own blog Within and Without.
