MEDIA Programme Projects
Europa Cinemas, created in 1992, is a network of theatres. It provides financial support to selected exhibitors provided they programme a significant number of non-domestic European films and supports promotional activities around European films designed for the young public.
The European Audiovisual Observatory was created in 1992. It is the only centre of this kind to gather and circulate information on the audiovisual industry in Europe.

The European Coordination of Independent Producers (CEPI) was founded in 1989, to organise and represent the interests of independent cinema and television producers in Europe. Today the Coordination represents approximately 4000 independent production companies in Europe, equivalent to 95% of the entire European audiovisual production industry.

Since 1996, EDN is a meeting point for professionals working around documentary film and TV programmes. EDN supports, stimulates and creates networks within the documentary sector in Europe.
Present in 15 countries, the European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation (EFFFF) has developed into a tight network of festivals that allows films to reach foreign audiences more easily and allows them more visibility among the public, press and professionals than they usually get at a film market.
Founded in 1988, the European Film Academy currently unites 1,600 European film professionals with the common aim of promoting the European film tradition.
