26/08/2002 - AAAPA announce a competition where a scholarship for the production of a new film will be assigned in November

AAAPA, an umbrella organisation representing fifteen Training and production workshops sponsored by Belgium's French-speaking community announced a competition for film projects where the winner will receive a Euros3,178 scholarship to attend a training course in screen writing and the preparation and development of documentaries, animated features and experimental films. A jury made up of five industry professionals will announce the winner’s name in November during ”Filming at all costs”.
Meanwhile journalist, scriptwriter and film editor called David Robert is this year’s winner of the prestigious Charles Spaak scriptwriting award for Faits divers (Current News), a story about the insecurity generated by the way in which news events are reported in the media.
Those who intend taking part in the 2003 edition of the Spaak award are invited to submit their screenplays to the European Writing University (UEE) no later than December 14 2002.
