26/08/2002 - One of Iberia’s foremost filmmaking duos, Pedro Almodovar & Antonio Banderas, is back after a 14-year gap for a new film called Tarantula

Fourteen years after they last worked together, Antonio Banderas has signed on to star in a forthcoming production entitled Tarantula, to be directed by the man who discovered him: Pedro Almodovar. Banderas and Almodovar have made five films together including Labyrinth of Passion, (1982), Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown (1988) and the 1987 Law of Desire. Tarantula is scheduled to go into production in 2004 and is based on French writer Thierry Jonquet’s crime thriller entitled "Mygale".
