DISTRIBUTION France

Change of name for FOE

by

- French company - renamed Hachette Filipacchi Films - will continue indie film distribution activities

In November 2002, Film Office Editions, specialised in the distribution of independent films and a subsidiary of French media colossus, HFM (Hachette Filipacchi Media), will change their name to “Hachette Filipacchi Films” (H2F) in a move that confirms and underlines HF’s decision to enter the film distribution arena as of May 2002.
With Fabrice A. Plaquevent at the helm, H2F will specialise in buying independent films (divided equally between European and American productions) and distributing them on every French-speaking channel in Europe (theatrical, television and home video). Films Office Editions was established in 1948 and has a catalogue of 400 feature films, especially “art house” productions by filmmakers like Lars Von Trier, Ken Loach and Robert Guédiguian.
