Ray Macfarlane is the new chairperson of Scottish Screen

Mike Watson, Minister for Tourism, Culture & Sport at the Scottish Executive announced the appointment of Ray Macfarlane as the new chair of Scottish Screen. She succeeds James Lee in this unpaid position and Macfarlane’s term of office will last for three years starting on 1 September 2002. Macfarlen, has been a Board member since Scottish screen was established in April 1997. Scottish-born Macfarlane is a qualified solicitor, and has been a senior director at the Bank of Scotland since 2000. Scottish Screen is responsible for promoting and developing all aspects of film, television and other related media in Scotland and it received the equivalent of a Euros3.9million to cover 2002-2003.
