film profile] – will this year preside over the Un Certain Regard jury at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival (May 13-24).
He will be joined by French actress Julie Gayet, Piers Handling (director of the Toronto Film Festival), India’s Uma Da Cunha (journalist and festival programmer) and Sweden’s Marit Kapla (journalist and director of Göteborg Film Festival). The Un Certain Regard section will open with Iranian director Bahman Ghobadi’s Nobody Knows About the Persian Cats.
The 2009 Caméra d'Or jury – who will this year award the title for Best Debut Film from among 20 features in the Official Selection, Critics’ Week and Directors’ Fortnight – will be presided by talented French actor Roschdy Zem, who made his directorial debut with Bad Faith [+see also:

Lastly, Indian actress Sharmilla Tagore is the final member of the competition jury, presided by Isabelle Huppert.
