Fischer Christensen shoots third film with Zentropa

, is currently shooting her third film, Familien Rheinwald (“The Rheinwald Family”) for Zentropa.

The drama is also her third script co-written with the experienced Kim Fupz Aakeson, following A Soap and Dancers (2008). It tells the story of Ditte (Lene Maria Christensen), an art gallery owner who is offered her dream job in New York. As she gets ready for her new life, she learns that her beloved father (Jesper Christensen, Everlasting Moments [+see also:

), a successful baker, is seriously ill.

“People will both cry and laugh in this film, which despite its serious subject matter will be told in a light tone, with sensuality and craving for cakes, bread and love, and the desire to live life to the fullest,” said the director.

The film produced by Sisse Graum Jørgensen and Vinca Wiedemann for Zentropa was just awarded support from the Danish Film Institute. TrustNordisk will handle world sales.
