Three local films in competition at San Sebastian

At this year’s 57th San Sebastian Film Festival , to be held from September 18-26, three Spanish films will vie for the Golden Conch: Isaki Lacuesta’s The Condemned (see news), Javier Rebollo’s La Mujer Sin Piano (“The Woman Without A Piano”, see news) and Álvaro Pastor and Antonio Naharro’s Me Too (see interview with producer Koldo Zuazua).

One of the most highly anticipated screenings is The Dancer and the Thief, the new film by Fernando Trueba (Oscar winner for The Age of Beauty). His previous narrative work was The Shanghai Spell (2002).

Finally, the Zabaltegi-New Directors section will present Elisabet Cabeza and Esteve Riambau’s Masks, Miguel Ángel Jiménez Colmenar’s Ori and Jabi Elortegi’s Zorion Perfektua.
