Euromed Audiovisual III adopted
by Cineuropa
In July, as part of its 2009 Mediterranean Action Plan, the European Commission approved a budget of €11m for a new 36-month Euromed Audiovisual programme.
The new programme will build on the results of previous programmes, Euromed Audiovisual I and II. Its overall aim is to contribute to the promotion of intercultural dialogue and cultural diversity by developing and strengthening the film and audiovisual industries in Mediterranean countries (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria, the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Tunisia and Turkey).
Calls will be launched at the start of next year.
