There will be gala evenings with glitter and red carpets at the 5th Zurich Film Festival, from September 24-October 4 .

US actor Morgan Freeman will receive the Golden Icon Award and Roman Polanski, who is the subject of a retrospective, will be awarded the Golden Eye for Lifetime Achievement (after Oliver Stone in 2007 and Costa-Gavras in 2008).

My Uncle (Germany); and The Sound After The Storm (Switzerland/Germany) by Patrik Soergel, Ryan Fenson-Hood and Sven O. Hill.

Meanwhile, the documentary Space Tourists by Christian Frei (War Photographer) will have a special gala screening for its world premiere.
