The 47th Gijón International Film Festival, which as usual champions bold and contemporary films, is warming up.

Moreover, the Asturian festival has organised a series of retrospectives devoted to Harmony Korine, Aleksey Balabanov and Matthias Müller; a section focusing on new farce in cinema (“Post Burlesque”); and an analysis of the impact of popular subcultures on UK films (“This is England”).
