Partners deals with the difficult subject of youngsters caught between commercial vice and violence, whilst expressing affection for the victims and showing their fundamental search for love and escapism. We were particularly impressed by the film’s clever structure and the outstanding performance by its cast”.
Co-produced by France’s Tabo-Tabo Films and Switzerland’s Saga Production, the film had its world premiere in international competition at the Locarno Film Festival and includes magnificent performances by Emmanuelle Devos, Gilbert Melki, Nina Meurisse and Cyril Descours.
Partners has also been selected for festivals in Hof and Tübingen (Germany), Abitibi-Témiscamingue (Canada) and São Paulo (Brazil). It will be released in France and Switzerland on January 21, 2010.
