The Mortician comes Full Circle

Producer Rhys Thomas and director Gareth Maxwell Roberts’ Full Circle Films is all set for a November 16 Louisiana shoot for £4m (€4.48m) 3D film The Mortician. The film is slated to be a gritty urban drama in the style of Se7en.

The Mortician will be the first UK independent film to be shot in digital 3D. Roberts is planning an almost holographic audience experience, immersing them in the film and characters using new stereoscopic 3D technology. Cast includes Method Man, Edward Furlong and Angelic Zambrana.

The film is a co-production between UK-based Full Circle Films, Film and Music Entertainment, and Belladonna Productions in New York, in association with Molinare. The Mortician is the first film being backed by MediaPro, recently launched as a minimum guarantee fund, which has an exclusive relationship with the Stealth Media Group who are an all rights film distributor and international film and TV sales company.

Michael L Cowan, Joint CEO Stealth Media Group, said, “We are extremely excited to be working with Rhys Thomas and Gareth Maxwell Roberts with their vision for the film and the application of digital 3D in a way that has not yet been done. We are also happy to be working with René Bastian of Belladonna Productions, who is an excellent producer with a proven track record. As a company, part of what we are focusing on in the UK is working with independent British talent. It is also great when you can work with people you consider friends.”
