Senator secures US funding
Senator has found a financial partner for its acquisitions and film marketing in Los Angeles-based private equity firm Winchester Capital International.
Having failed to achieve the level of success expected with its latest major releases (on November 26), Anno Saul’s The Door [+see also:
trailer
film profile] and US film New in Town (both outstripped by The Twilight Saga: New Moon, which was launched the same day by Constantin), Senator is concerned about its 2009 results.
The money provided by Winchester Capital International will enable the group to get the most out of its releases from early next year, starting with Joseph Vilsmaier’s German drama Nanga Prabat (release date: January 14).
