The Italian Film Board ’s funding commission has deemed 17 features and 9 short films to be of cultural interest and awarded them relative financial contributions. 9 more films applied for and were granted the cultural interest designation alone, with no funding attached. These include the latest works by Alessandro D'Alatri, Ferzan Ozpetek and John Turturro.

The following first and second films were deemed to be of cultural interest, with relative funding attached:
Con Rabbia e Con Sapere by Demetrio Casile, €300,000;
Sette Opere di Misericordia by Gianluca and Massimiliano De Serio, €200,000;
Bici, Canguri e Grigliate by Giacomo Faenza, €100,000;
La Madre by Angelo Maresca, €500,000;
Adhd - Il Codice dell'Anima by Stella Savino, €200,000;
L'Arte della Felicità by Alessandro Rak, €200,000;
La Città Invisibile by Giuseppe Tandoi, €200,000.

In the case of Nord Sud Ovest Est by Jan Michelini, L'Isola dell'Angelo Caduto by Carlo Lucarelli, and Cavalli by Michele Rho, confirmation of the cultural interest designation, accompanied by a contribution of €500,000, is contingent upon the fulfillment of specific conditions established by the commission.

Confirmation of the cultural interest designation exclusively is pending for Barney’s Version by Richard Lewis and Christmas in Beverly Hills by Neri Parenti.
