Konchalovsky to make film about Pietro Mennea
Russian director, Andrei Konchalovsky said he hopes to make a film about Italian sprinter, Pietro Mennea whose 1979 world record for the 200-meter dash stood unbeaten until 1996.
In an interview with "Off Hollywood" (a Rai Educational programme), Konchalovsky who is in Venice to present his House of Fools in competition said, "I will make the Mennea film in Italy and would love to do something on similar lines to Scorsese's Raging Bull."
