06/09/2002 - The European Film Academy announces this year’s nominations for the Audience Awards. The nominees include Judi Dench and François Ozon’s 8 Women

Europe’s filmgoers are invited to vote for their favourite film, actor and actress of 2002. The winners will receive the prestigious People’s Award at the next European Film Awards scheduled for 7 December in Rome. Casting your vote is easy, either in your local newspapers, specialist film websites and dedicated publications as well as by clicking on the official EFA web site where you will also find the full list of nominees. They include Judi Dench and Kate Winslet for Iris; Isabelle Huppert and Fanny Ardant for 8 Women; Ralph Fiennes for Spider; Emily Watson, Helen Mirren and Maggie Smith for Gosford Park. The best director category features Pedro Almodovar for Speak to Hear and François Ozon for 8 Women.
