Danish star actress Sonja Richter (What No One Knows [+see also:

Theory and Practice is written by Nikolaj Frobenius from his eponymous autobiographical novel. Set in the 1970s, it tells of his upbringing in the dormitory town of Rykkinn and his relationship with his father, a self-declared free spirit. They live a happy alternative family life, until his mother Lone is killed in a hit-and-run accident. Nikolaj discovers punk rock, but his newfound interest collides with his father’s hippy lifestyle.
“Theory and Practice is a vibrant and different family portrait,” said Lien. “The multiple layers of the story are one of the things I like the most about it: the contrast between constructive and destructive, hippie versus punk, tragedy and comedy”.
According to producer Christian Fredrik Martin, the film already had a three-day shoot this winter, but real principal photography will start on April 20. Johnny “Rotten” Lydon of the Sex Pistols came to Norway to shoot a few scenes.
