Skarsgårds take on Moomins

by

Internationally renowned Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård has lent his voice to Moomin Papa and his son Alexander Skarsgård to Moomintroll in the animated Finnish film Moomins and the Comet Chase, the first stereoscopic 3D coming out of the Nordic region.

Another Swedish star actor, Peter Stormare, voices the character of Snufkin. Icelandic singer Björk has written the original music with Andrzej Rockicki.

Currently in post-production, the film tells the story of the Moomintroll and his family as they prepare for the crash landing of a mysterious comet. The adventures of the sweet hippo-like characters invented by Finnish novelist Tove Jansson have been translated into over 40 languages and will be celebrating their 65th anniversary this year.
