First European Production Workshop at Lecce
The first edition of the European Production Workshop, organised in collaboration with MEDIA Desk Italia, will take place during the Mediterranean Co-production Forum at the Lecce Festival of European Cinema. Discussions will take place between the major public audiovisual institutions and industry professionals from the Italian regions, and will offer more detailed information on current laws and possible available resources for producers starting their careers and private investors from outside the film industry.
The event’s three panels will take place on the morning of April 19 and will be dedicated to the Italian tax shelter and tax credit incentives; the evolution of extra-national funding for European productions; and the opportunities offered by the Apulia Film Commission (AFC) to producers intending to make their films in Apulia.
The first ever Mediterranean Co-production Forum (April 18-20) – organised by the Lecce Festival in collaboration with the Apulia Region and the AFC – aims to back film projects tied to the Mediterranean and Balkan regions by fostering meetings and partnerships between individual and company producers, financiers, market experts and distributors.
The programme includes seminars and discussions between producers, distributors, film commissioners and filmmakers and strives to further co-production collaborations and an exchange of best practices that could improve the working methods of those participating in the Forum.
